The Delta Quick Review: As a brand usually associated with Maui and wave sailing, Goya is doing a lot of work to branch out into other facets of the sport. The board range now has more freeride and slalom models than ones for the waves. The sail line is expanding in this direction as well, and we know there is a cam'd sail that could see the light of day in 2018. But for 2017 the no-cam Mark is the raciest sail. Having the Nexus already established for recreational freerider's, the Mark has been made as racy as a no cam can get. There is a noticeable amount of seam shaping to give it something of a cam like shape, and while the luff sleeve can take an SDM mast it is still fairly tight on an RDM, once again helping lock in the shape. On the water the sail feels very stable even when taken out in conditions that would overpower lesser sails. The cam comparison is very easy to make in straight line performance and even in the gybe there's a bit of a thunk like a cam sail... not as bad, but more than you'd expect for a no cam. The head twists perfectly to make tuning easy, and by design, it absorb huge gusts so all you notice is acceleration. It truly is as racy a sail as you can make without cams.
